There’s something beautiful about keeping certain aspects of your life hidden. Maybe people and clouds are beautiful because you can’t see everything. — Kamenashi Kazuya
“Time is tricky. You have whole months, even years, when nothing changes a speck, when you don’t go anywhere or do anything or think one new thought. And then you can get hit with a day or an hour, or half a second, when so much happens its almost like you are born all over again into some brand-new person you for damn sure never expected to meet.” -Life is Funny
“Life is a sleazy stranger, who looks vaguely familiar; flirting with a bimbo named disaster at the end of the bar.” – Ani DiFranco, ‘1,000,000’

“The purpose of life is a life of purpose.”
“You don’t know what beauty is. You use the word, certainly, but your word is empty. Beauty is known only by one who has known the inner beauty, one who has known the inner flower opening. Then whenever a flower is seen, it reminds you of your inner beauty.” -Osho
“All this knowledge of the objective world is of no value in comparison to having a little glimpse of the inner sky and its beauty — its sunrises and sunsets, its days and nights, its blue sky and its stars. The outer then looks only a pale reflection of the inner. The inner becomes more real and the outer becomes just a shadow.” -Osho
“Only one thing I expect from all of you: to be yourself, to discover your inner beauty, your purity of consciousness, your hidden splendor — and spread it to as many people as possible. People are miserable. Help them to laugh a little, to sing a little, to dance a little.” -Osho
“Physical beauty and ugliness is not very important. The real thing is the inner. I can teach you how to be beautiful from within, and that is real beauty. Once it is there, your physical form won’t matter much. Your eyes will start shining with joy; your face will have a gleam, a glory. The form will become immaterial. When something starts flowing from within you, some grace, then the outer form is just put aside.” -Osho
“You make lists in your head about what you want in a lover, like brown hair and a sweet voice. A sharp mind and a soft heart, a sense of humor that actually makes you laugh like you mean it. This and that. And it’s all bullshit. Because people aren’t lists. And I’ve always wanted to be the person who made someone realize that. I want to come across someone with a list in their head that is nothing like the person I am, and I want to show them what they didn’t even know they were looking for. People who think they know what they want are fooling themselves. Nobody really knows what or who they want. Not until it’s right in front of them.” -Marianna Paige
“All beauty, all other beauties are only skin-deep. One can fool oneself for the time being, but sooner or later the other beauty wears out and one is left in utter ugliness because one never developed the real beauty. The real beauty has nothing to do with the face but with the luminosity that comes from your within. It has nothing to do with the form of the eyes but with light that shines through them. It has nothing to do with the body but with the inner presence that vibrates through the body. The real beauty arises at the core, at the very core of your being, and spreads outwards towards the body. The false beauty is just on the surface; it has no roots in you. It is ungrounded.” -Osho
Our notions about happiness entrap us. We forget that they are just ideas. Our idea of happiness can prevent us from actually being happy. We fail to see the opportunity for joy that is right in front of us when we are caught in a belief that happiness should take a particular form. -Thich Nhat Hanh
“Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8 color boxes, but what you’re really looking for are the 64 color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64 color box, though I’ve got a few missing. It’s okay though, because I’ve got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8 color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation. So when I meet someone who’s an 8 color type…I’m like, hey girl, Magenta! and she’s like, oh, you mean purple! and she goes off on her purple thing, and I’m like, no I want Magenta!” -John Mayer

But each brush stroke thinks it’s important when it’s on the canvas and each brush stroke thinks that it’s the last and that the painting will be done when the brush leaves the canvas again. “The highest state of Love is not a relationship at all, it is simply a state of your Being. Just as trees are green, a lover is loving. They are not green for particular persons, it is not that when you come they become green. The flower goes on spreading it’s fragrance whether anybody comes or not, whether anybody appreciates or not. The flower does not start releasing its fragrance when it sees that a great poet is coming by – ‘Now this man will appreciate, now this man will be able to understand who I am.’ And it does not close its doors when it sees that a stupid, idiotic person is passing there – insensitive, dull, a politician or something like that. It does not close itself – ‘What is the point? Why cast pearls before swine?’. No, the flower goes on spreading its fragrance. It is a state of being, not a relationship…” -Osho

“There are going to be days when you won’t have the energy or drive to get out of bed. There are going to be days when you’re going to want to give up – give up on love, life, or school. The thing is, you’re not allowed to give up. You were given a life and you’re supposed to live it. The truth is the seventy or eighty years that you’re given isn’t long enough to do the things you’re supposed to do. Sure, you’re gonna hit a few bumps along the way, but you’ve got to pick yourself up and move on. Life is unpredictable and things might not always work out the way you want them to, but that’s no reason to give up. You’re here for a reason and someday when you’re not expecting it, you’re going to discover your reason for being here. And when that does happen, your life will never be the same again.”

So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

“We’re taught to believe that some people are simply born lucky, when in reality, that’s just a convenient excuse to lean back and take it easy, rather than try to apply some control over our destiny. After all, if you aren’t one of the “chosen” ones, what can you possibly do about it? Quite a lot, actually. The fact is, more and more psychologists are finding out that it isn’t the hand you’re dealt that’s important in life but how you play your cards. Let me put it in another way: We’re all capable of making our own luck. What appears to be luck is really the result of perceptions, personality traits, choices and actions. All of that is within your control. People who consider themselves lucky actually tend to be – it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. That’s because positive thinkers are always keeping their eyes peeled for fortunate situations and they’re more likely to grab on them when they arise. So instead of telling yourself: “There’s not a chance in hell that’s going to happen”. Tell yourself: “That looks kind of cool, maybe I should check it out.” -Amanda Oosthuizen

“When you finally get something good, enjoy it. Don’t go looking for something better.”
The decision to be positive is not one that disregards or belittles sadness that exists. It is rather a conscious choice to focus on the good and to cultivate happiness – genuine happiness. Happiness is not a limited resource. When we devote our energy and time to trivial matters and choose to stress over things that ultimately are insignificant, from that point, we perpetuate our own sadness and lose sight of the things that really make us happy and rationalize our way out of doing amazing things. -Christopher Aiff
“Stop comparing where you’re at with where everyone else is. It doesn’t move you farther ahead, improve your situation, or help you find peace. It just feeds your shame, fuels your feelings of inadequacy, and ultimately, it keeps you stuck. The reality is that there is no one correct path in life. Everyone has their own unique journey. A path that’s right for someone else won’t necessarily be a path that’s right for you. And that’s okay. Your journey isn’t right or wrong, or good or bad. It’s just different. Your life isn’t meant to look like anyone else’s because you aren’t like anyone else. You’re a person all your own with a unique set of goals, obstacles, dreams, and needs. So stop comparing, and start living. You may not have ended up where you intended to go. But trust, for once, that you have ended up where you needed to be. Trust that you are in the right place at the right time. Trust that your life is enough. Trust that you are enough.” -Daniell Koepke
“Let your mess be your message. Don’t let your trials get you down, but let them inspire someone else.”

I hope you stay up all night laughing with your friends. And when you’re thirty, learn something new. I hope your life is one of wisdom and youth, adventure and old age – no matter what year it was that you were born. What I really mean to say is that I hope you aren’t held back because of a number. And that you don’t rush into things because it feels like time is slipping by. I hope you do what’s right for you. Hold on. Slow down. And breathe in. Your age is your age. But more importantly, your life is your life. Don’t change your journey so that it matches someone else’s. We need to walk different paths so the whole world can be explored. Revel in the differences. And enjoy where you are.” -Jessica

“Eventually all things fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and know everything happens for a reason.”
“Sometimes when we’re feeling sad, it’s important just to feel the sadness. Like a snake shedding its skin, old feelings of remorse and regret and hurt and anger often have to come up in order to be released. On the other side we’re a better person, capable of a happier life…who we are when we’re no longer burdened by the buried feelings that weighed us down, or the self-defeating patterns that the pain produced.” -Marianne Williamson

Don’t wait too long, you might miss your chance.
Learn to let go. That is the key to happiness.
With the amount of energy it takes you to blame others for your problems, you could be devoting energy to actually solving them. Accepting responsibility for the suffering you experience is the first step to overcoming it. When you realize this, you cease being a victim of circumstance, because you realize you never really were. You’ve been a victim of your own shortcomings, and now that you’ve accepted them, you are capable of change. -Paul John Moscatello

I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself. For a moment life suddenly feels lighter, a bit more Gene Kelly dancing in the rain.” -Jonathan Carroll
“I’ve been a paperboy, a stripper, a paralegal and barista. At one point I even worked a graveyard shift at a gas station inside a bullet-proof booth, and I’ve made sandwiches at Subway for minimum wage. I’ve managed executive offices from art galleries to software development companies, and prepared burritos at Whole Foods and rotisserie chickens at Costco. I was a photographer for 13 years, a bus-boy at The Cheesecake Factory for three minutes (shortest job I’ve ever had), and spent countless hours in numerous kitchens feeding the hungry. I drafted multi-billion dollar contracts at prestigious law firms for ten years, and made smoothies at Jamba Juice for two. From publishing a book, to cleaning bathrooms or mopping floors, NONE of the things I have done DEFINE me. Does that make sense? Do you see what I mean? What and who I am has absolutely nothing to do with what I have done when I was younger, nor what I’m currently doing. Who I am is not defined by how much or how little money I have, the clothes I wear, or the vehicle I drive wherever I live. I don’t identify myself by those things, which is good because they’re all so temporary.. lol… those aren’t even all the jobs I’ve had (and I’m only 36).. It’s important to have an identity that surpasses a job title on a business card, or a status deemed by the bank or society. What I am, regardless of those things, is an instrument of peace. That is my mission, my purpose.. my Ikigai! If we bring integrity to whatever we do in the world, then we are being of service to others whether we wash dishes in the back of a restaurant, perform complex brain surgeries, manage thousands of employees, drive a bus, fight fires, or raise children at home. Life is not a hierarchy, it’s a celebration! And love is not a word, it’s an invitation. So strive to love who you are. No. Matter. What.” -Timber Hawkeye
“Who the fuck cares where you went to school or where you work? The question is: Is everyday experience good, healthy, beautiful? Because I have to tell you, while it might be cool to work for a company like Google, Apple, or The New Yorker, if your job is stupid, stressful and your boss is an asshole, there is nothing good or prestigious about that. While it might seem right to go to a school like Berkeley, if classes are overcrowded and students are nervous, anxious, religious zealots from Orange County, are you sure you want to go there? What’s good about that? To believe in prestige is to privilege abstract, collective impression over palpable, daily experience. To which I say: fuck prestige. Do what serves your everyday vitality.” -Daniel Coffeen
“Another day, another blessing and another chance at life.”
“If you keep picking a scab it will bleed and never heal. If you keep dragging the pain of the past up, it will never heal.” -Leon Brown
“Life is too short to spend it at war with yourself.”
“And kid, you’ve got to love yourself. You’ve got wake up at four in the morning, brew black coffee, and stare at the birds drowning in the darkness of the dawn. You’ve got to sit next to the man at the train station who’s reading your favorite book and start a conversation. You’ve got to come home after a bad day and burn your skin from a shower. Then you’ve got to wash all your sheets until they smell of lemon detergent you bought for four dollars at the local grocery store. You’ve got to stop taking everything so goddam personally. You are not the moon kissing the black sky. You’ve got to compliment someones crooked brows at an art fair and tell them that their eyes remind you of green swimming pools in mid July. You’ve got to stop letting yourself get upset about things that won’t matter in two years. Sleep in on Saturday mornings and wake yourself up early on Sunday. You’ve got to stop worrying about what you’re going to tell her when she finds out. You’ve got to stop over thinking why he stopped caring about you over six months ago. You’ve got to stop asking everyone for their opinions. Fuck it. Love yourself, kiddo. You’ve got to love yourself.”
“Oscar Wilde said that if you know what you want to be, then you inevitably become it – that is your punishment, but if you never know, then you can be anything. There is a truth to that. We are not nouns, we are verbs. I am not a thing – an actor, a writer – I am a person who does things – I write, I act – and I never know what I am going to do next. I think you can be imprisoned if you think of yourself as a noun.” -Stephen Fry
“I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.” -Helena Bonham Carter

Whenever you feel like giving up, think of all the people that would love to see you fail.
We are all a people in need. We are not perfect. We are not machines. We make mistakes. We need grace. We need compassion. We need help at times. We need other people. And that’s okay. -Jamie Tworkowski
“Not all toxic people are cruel and uncaring. Some of them love us dearly. Many of them have good intentions. Most are toxic to our being simply because their needs and way of existing in the world force us to compromise ourselves and our happiness. They aren’t inherently bad people, but they aren’t the right people for us. And as hard as it is, we have to let them go. Life is hard enough without being around people who bring you down, and as much as you care, you can’t destroy yourself for the sake of someone else. You have to make your wellbeing a priority. Whether that means breaking up with someone you care about, loving a family member from a distance, letting go of a friend, or removing yourself from a situation that feels painful — you have every right to leave and create a safer space for yourself.” -Daniell Koepke
“Any struggle or pain that you experience just gets you to the top, and you can’t get there without making the climb. A few years later, you won’t remember exactly the way the pain felt or how long it took, you’ll just remember the view from the top. In fact, you might smile at the fact you had to work to get there.” -Haley Williams
“The less you care, the happier you will be.”
“Negative thoughts are not protecting you. They are making you smaller.” -Robert Kiyosaki
“Every minute you spend with someone gives them a part of your life and takes part of theirs.” -Ally Condie

“A lot of us spend our time stuck in regret, wishing our lives had turned out differently, and beating ourselves up for the decisions that have led us to this place. We feel cheated out of a life that could have been something better. We feel angry and sad and disappointed. And most of all, we feel stuck.
In these moments, it’s easy to focus on all of the things that have gone wrong. It’s easy to focus on the loss and the heartbreak and the pain, but it’s also important to remember all of the things that have gone right. It’s important to remember all of the positive experiences and friendships and growth and laughter you’ve gained — things you would have never taken part in, lessons you would have never learned, and people you would have never met had you not veered off the desired path.
The truth is that every time you thought you were missing out on something important, you were given the opportunity to experience something valuable in its own right. Every time life’s obstacles rejected you from something good, you were being redirected to something, or someone, equally wonderful. You may not have ended up where you intended to go, but trust, for once, that you have ended up where you need to be. Trust that you are in the right place at the right time. Trust that every experience has something to offer you. Trust that something that feels like a curse in the moment can blossom into a blessing. Trust that your life is enough. Trust that you are enough.” -DK

There is no designated time for anything in your life. You don’t have to have your first kiss at any certain time, you don’t have to get married in your 20′s and you don’t have to do anything just because other people think it’s best. In fact, you will be much better off if you just do what your heart says. The day you stop caring what other people think is the day their opinions don’t mean anything, because you’re not there to give them weight. -Brianna West
There is something inexpressibly beautiful about the world when the sun begins to rise and fill the dim sky with soft rays of light and only the birds are awake to sing to you “good morning”, while everyone else is curled up in their beds, unaware of the magnificence they’re missing and everything feels so simple. It’s as if six a.m. is an epiphany that sparks at your fingertips and spreads until you are encompassed entirely by a feeling of clarity. There is something inexpressibly beautiful about being awake to behold the splendor of this world while everyone else is still asleep. -Madisen Kuhn

Take the time to see and appreciate what you have.
Let whatever you do today be enough. Let go of the judgement you have about what you should be or could be doing, and today, allow yourself to simply be. Comparing yourself and your journey may be habitual, but it gets you nowhere. It makes you feel worse and it keeps you stuck. So stop fixating on where everyone else is, and start giving yourself permission to be exactly where you are. Quiet the voice telling you to do more and be more, and trust that in this moment, who you are, where you are at, and what you are doing is enough. You will get to where you need to be in your own time. Until then, breathe. Breathe and be patient with yourself and your process. Instead of saying “I don’t have time” try saying “it’s not a priority,” and see how that feels. Often, that’s a perfectly adequate explanation. I have time to iron my sheets, I just don’t want to. But other things are harder. Try it: “I’m not going to edit your résumé, sweetie, because it’s not a priority.” “I don’t go to the doctor because my health is not a priority.” If these phrases don’t sit well, that’s the point. Changing our language reminds us that time is a choice. If we don’t like how we’re spending an hour, we can choose differently.

I am learning to understand rather than immediately judge or to be judged. I cannot blindly follow the crowd and accept their approach. “The problem, often not discovered until late in life, is that when you look for things in life like love, meaning, motivation, it implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock. The most successful people in life recognize, that in life they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, they generate their own motivation. “We can’t jump off bridges anymore because our iPhones will get ruined. We can’t take skinny dips in the ocean, because there’s no service on the beach and adventures aren’t real unless they’re on Instagram. Technology has doomed the spontaneity of adventure and we’re helping destroy it every time we Google, check-in, and hashtag.” -Jeremy Glass, We Can’t Get Lost Anymore
Breakups hurt, but losing someone who doesn’t respect and appreciate you is actually a gain, not a loss.
“Most people don’t cheat because they’re cheaters. They cheat because they are people. They are driven by hunger or for the experience of someone being hungry once more for them. They find themselves in friendships that take an unintended turn or they seek them out because they’re horny or drunk or damaged from the stuff they didn’t get when they were kids. There is love. There is lust. There is opportunity. There is alcohol. And youth. There is loneliness and boredom and sorrow and weakness and self-destruction and idiocy and arrogance and romance and ego and nostalgia and power and need. There is the compelling temptation of intimacies with someone other than the person with whom one is most intimate. Which is a complicated way of saying, it’s a damn long life. And people get mucked up in it from time to time. Even the people we marry. Even us.”
—Cheryl Strayed, tiny beautiful things

“My wife got sick. She was constantly nervous because of problems at work, personal life, her failures and children. She lost 30 pounds and weighted about 90 pounds. She got very skinny and was constantly crying. She was not a happy woman. She had suffered from continuing headaches, heart pain and jammed nerves in her back and ribs. She did not sleep well, falling asleep only in the mornings and got tired very quickly during the day. Our relationship was on the verge of a break up. Her beauty was leaving her somewhere, she had bags under her eyes, she was poking her head, and stopped taking care of herself. She refused to shoot the films and rejected any role. I lost hope and thought that we’ll get divorced soon… But then I decided to act. After all I’ve got the most beautiful woman on earth. She is the idol of more than half of men and women on earth, and I was the one allowed to fall asleep next to her and to hug her. I began to shower her with flowers, kisses and compliments. I surprised and pleased her every minute. I gave her a lot of gifts and lived just for her. I spoke in public only about her. I incorporated all themes in her direction. I praised her in front of her own and our mutual friends. You won’t believe it, but she blossomed. She became better. She gained weight, was no longer nervous and loved me even more than ever. I had no clue that she can LOVE that much. And then I realized one thing: the woman is the reflection of her man. If you love her to the point of madness, she will become it.” -Brad Pitt about his wife

“You don’t know anyone at the party, so you don’t want to go. You don’t like cottage cheese, so you haven’t eaten it in years. This is your choice, of course, but don’t kid yourself: it’s also the flinch. Your personality is not set in stone. You may think a morning coffee is the most enjoyable thing in the world, but it’s really just a habit. Thirty days without it, and you would be fine. You think you have a soul mate, but in fact you could have had any number of spouses. You would have evolved differently, but been just as happy. You can change what you want about yourself at any time. You see yourself as someone who can’t write or play an instrument, who gives in to temptation or makes bad decisions, but that’s really not you. It’s not ingrained. It’s not your personality. Your personality is something else, something deeper than just preferences, and these details on the surface, you can change anytime you like. If it is useful to do so, you must abandon your identity and start again. Sometimes, it’s the only way. Set fire to your old self. It’s not needed here. It’s too busy shopping, gossiping about others, and watching days go by and asking why you haven’t gotten as far as you’d like. This old self will die and be forgotten by all but family, and replaced by someone who makes a difference. Your new self is not like that. Your new self is the Great Chicago Fire—overwhelming, overpowering, and destroying everything that isn’t necessary.” -Julien Smith, The Flinch
We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. Let them leave your life quietly. Letting go is often times easier than holding on. We think it’s too hard to let go, until we actually do. Then we ask ourselves, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?”

May I see the things in front of me as they are, not as I think them to be.
May I walk the steps ahead of me one at a time, not wondering if there’s a map.
May I say the things that fix things, not break them further apart.
May I do what I need to do, not be distracted by what I can’t.
May I dream of what I hope for, not of what I fear.
May I love you like I love you, not as any other, me.

It may seem a misfortune now, and it makes things difficult, but well—it’s easy to feel all the happy, simple stuff. Not that happiness is necessarily simple. But I don’t think you’re going to have a life like that, and I think you’ll be the better for it. The difficult thing is to not be overwhelmed by the bad patches. You must not let them defeat you. “Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. “Someone asked me if I was a motivational speaker now. I don’t believe in motivation. Motivation is you in this moment getting pumped about a future moment. That is great, if your goal is to get something done. What I am about is truth. From my experience, our default setting is that we are unlimited. Our natural resting state is to evolve and expand. Our challenge is getting through the old conditioning and belief systems that stop us. I am not about positivity, I am about the truth. When someone says “I can’t do this because of x.” I think, wow, you believe a lie about yourself. That is actually not true! That is something your parents taught you. Your parents were also taught that lie. We were taught a lot of lies; “You can’t do that.” or “It’s not that easy.” or even the idea that you need money to be happy. From my experience, not from shit that I have heard other people say, Your happiness is your natural resting state. We take on too many things that don’t matter at all and make no room for things that would cause us to expand and live from our core. When you let go of all these things that you have held onto, (the past and the future, your old story, addictions, people pleasing etc) You make the freedom for real insight to enter your mind. This insight can’t get through all day because you are worried about a football team, or what your ex thinks of you. YOU ARE INFINITE! (Your belief system has trained you to see that truth as hokey but you actually are). Someone asked me how I can “Maintain” this. I don’t maintain it. It is the freaking truth. Once NEO experienced the Matrix, he didn’t have to maintain believing it. He just was aware that was the truth and moved differently from that understanding. So no, I am not a “motivational speaker”, I am just calling out the lies. Once you see through the bull shit you can move faster than any “Motivation” will ever get you. But that is just your natural state. It isn’t hard work at all. It’s effortless allowing and internal focus.” -Kyle Cease
“Our job is to get out of the way of ourselves and let the art flow through us. We need to stop trying, stop doing, start allowing. We have no clue what we can be when you stop forcing and start being.” -Kyle Cease
“If I’ve learned anything from life, it’s that sometimes, the darkest times can bring us to the brightest places. I’ve learned that the most toxic people can teach us the most important lessons; that our most painful struggles can grant us the most necessary growth; and that the most heartbreaking losses of friendship and love can make room for the most wonderful people. I’ve learned that what seems like a curse in the moment can actually be a blessing, and that what seems like the end of the road is actually just the discovery that we are meant to travel down a different path. I’ve learned that no matter how difficult things seem, there is always hope. And I’ve learned that no matter how powerless we feel or how horrible things seem, we can’t give up. We have to keep going. Even when it’s scary, even when all of our strength seems gone, we have to keep picking ourselves back up and moving forward, because whatever we’re battling in the moment, it will pass, and we will make it through. We’ve made it this far. We can make it through whatever comes next.”
“Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place.”
“Be the real thing. Sit back, allow, understand that analyzing is totally an illusion. Show up and stay in the room. Stop stopping. Stop starting over. Understand that when you start, it is going to seem like it isn’t working. That does not mean that it wont work eventually. Stay with it, you will expand. That is what we are here to do. Expand. Just allow yourself to grow. You don’t need to cut corners to get something. If you show up, allow yourself to go through the growing pains, and stay with it, everything you want will happen. Everything you want. Get to that place where your focus is on your expansion, not on getting anything from others. People don’t realize that they are in a bad addictive habit of trying to get things to be happy. They want to manipulate to be happy. When they can’t get what they want, they rely on temporary coping mechanisms. But it’s when you FACE IT head on, you expand. You see that what you were worried about is not real. Once you see it isn’t real, it’s like the Matrix. You can’t ever go back. Why would you? You become incredible. You become something you could not see. This is why analyzing can be total bull shit. It can be useful at times, but if you think to yourself, I am going to work out, however I have tried it before and it is hard. Analyzing just lied to you. It wont be hard after a couple weeks, but analyzing can’t see that next dimension. Analyzing is telling you how things will go from your limited temporary perception. But when you face that illusion head on, you will expand and have a different vision of yourself. YOU DON’T NEED ANYTHING TO BE HAPPY. If you think you do, that tells you the illusional limit to who you think you are. You are limited to a space that says “I need that one person to like me.” “I need that one job.” Bull shit, you are unlimited and if you face that head on, you will see that what was stopping you was not real. You are unlimited. Period. The second you say “Yeah right.” You analyzed yourself out of this possibility. You looked at how you were in the past and found an excuse to not start. What a nice coping mechanism. Get it yet? Start, stay in the room. Let analyzing happen, but don’t believe it. It is just a collection of thoughts from the past that aren’t true. Just stay in the room and you will see that you have a different dimension to you.” -Kyle Cease
“Today I am going to let my burdens go. I am going to face this day and have faith that everything will get better.”
“How boring would Super Mario Brothers have been if the goal of the game was for Mario to just complain about each bad guy and not do anything. If Mario just sat on the couch and bitched about how crappy his parents were, the game would be terrible. If Mario then decided to not start moving forward, but instead decided to seek therapy and find out why his parents were so crappy. The reason the game is fun is you get to go out on an adventure. You can only control what Mario is doing. Not the other characters, not Mario’s past story, not his circumstances. Mario doesn’t come with a bunch of coping mechanisms and excuses, he just freaking moved forward. The only thing you can control in that game is what Mario does in each given moment. Because of that, he moved fast as shit. Are you guys getting the metaphor? I don’t know if this one was that good, but I am trying to make some cool points about how we only do simulated missions and not go on the real game. This one sucks. It was kind of good, but come on, why would I even post this…. right now….” -Kyle Cease
No one is a slut. “Slut” is a made-up word to keep women from having as much fun as men. A person who enjoys sex is just a person and a person who is a virgin is also just a person and everyone should lay off each other’s sex lives. Retire the word “slut” please. -Gabrielle Dunn

“You’re going to die soon enough anyway; even if it’s a hundred years from now, that’s still the blink of a cosmic eye. “Don’t allow your struggle to let you lose hope. Just because things are difficult right now doesn’t mean they will be like this forever. You can and will heal, and whether or not you see it, you’re healing right now. The small steps you take each day may not seem like much, but each day adds up, and before you know it, you’ll have covered more distance than you believed possible. Look back to where you were a year ago. You may not be fully healed, but you certainly aren’t where you once were. You’ve struggled and back tracked and wanted to give up, but you’ve continued to push forward. You’ve made it so far, and despite everything life has thrown at you, you’ve survived. So instead of beating yourself up for not being where you would like to be, take some time today to celebrate where you are. Give yourself credit for growth you’ve achieved, acknowledge the strength it’s taken to get to this place, and have faith that if you keep picking yourself back up, no matter how many times you fall, you will make it.” -DK
“The fact that you’re struggling doesn’t make you a burden. It doesn’t make you unloveable or undesirable or undeserving of care. It doesn’t make you too much or too sensitive or too needy. It makes you human. Everyone struggles. Everyone has a difficult time coping, and at times, we all fall apart. During these times, we aren’t always easy to be around — and that’s okay. No one is easy to be around one hundred percent of the time. Yes, you may sometimes be unpleasant or difficult. And yes, you may sometimes do or say things that make the people around you feel helpless or sad. But those things aren’t all of who you are and they certainly don’t discount your worth as a human being. The truth is that you can be struggling and still be loved. You can be difficult and still be cared for. You can be less than perfect, and still be deserving of compassion and kindness.”

“It is very, very difficult realizing that you might actually be better off without certain people weighing down your heart. Some people are meant to guide us, yet leave our lives. I thank the universe for bringing such an honest, loving light to my life, but the light is dim now. It’s certainly not honest nor is it loving: and it is so painful to feel, on the shallow face of it all, but these people are meant to love us and leave. Your time here is done.” -DK

“You know what’s wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You’re chicken, you’ve got no guts. You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, “Okay, life’s a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness.” You call yourself a free spirit, a “wild thing,” and you’re terrified somebody’s gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you’re already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it’s not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It’s wherever you go. “One day at a time–this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.”
“I would much rather have regrets about not doing what people said, than regretting not doing what my heart led me to and wondering what life had been like if I’d just been myself.”
“Life will always try to make things difficult for you, but every time you overcome difficulties, you come out stronger.”
“You are full of potential. You are overflowing with creativity. There’s nothing in your heart that you cannot accomplish.” -Joel Osteen
“When you get little, you want more. When you get more, you desire even more. But when you lose everything, you realize little was enough.”
“Never be afraid to fall apart because it is an opportunity to rebuild yourself the way you wish you had been all along.”
“When you stop expecting people to be perfect, you can like them for who they are.” -Donald Miller
“People who are attracted to you because of your pretty face or nice body won’t be by your side forever. But the people who can see how beautiful your heart is will never leave you.”
“It’s true you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone, but it’s also true you don’t know what you’ve been missing until it arrives.”
“When we least expect it, life sets us a challenge to test our courage and willingness to change; at such a moment, there is no point in pretending that nothing has happened or in saying that we are not yet ready. The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back. A week is more than enough time for us to decide whether or not to accept our destiny.” -Paulo Coelho
“If you don’t love it then you won’t take care of it. If you won’t take care of it then someone else will.”
“When you take things for granted, those things eventually get taken.”
“There is only so much energy available to us in life. Spending it on solving problems is one possible way of living your life, but this may leave you empty-hearted; spending it on what excites you is a lot more fulfilling and fun – and effortless; and usually, the previously experienced problems vanish on their own. We don’t have to battle against the darkness when all we need to do is turn on the light.” -Andrea Moritz
“Love is stronger than differences. We all live on the same planet. We walk on the same earth. We breathe the same air. No matter where I was born, no matter what color skin I have or what religion I was raised to believe in, everything and everyone is connected to this one life. I no longer choose to prejudge others, to feel either superior or inferior. I choose equality ~ to have warm, loving, open communication with every member of my earthly family. I am a member of the earth community. Differences of opinion are wonderful, colorful varieties of expression. Today my heart opens a little bit more as I go about creating the world I want to live in.” -Victoria Halik
“Don’t waste your time looking back at what you’ve lost. Move on, life is not meant to be traveled backwards.”

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that that situation is over, you cannot move forward.” -Steve Maraboli
“If it doesn’t make you happy anymore then it’s time to let it go and focus on yourself.”
“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.”
“Life is a road. You’ll get over the potholes, even if you have to pull yourself out. Yes, those hills go up and down, but you’ll always level out.”
“If we want to avoid the suffering of someone leaving us, we will never experience the joy of loving. And love is stronger than fear, life stronger than death, hope stronger than despair. We have to trust that the risk of loving is always worth taking.” -Henri J.M. Nouwen
“As we awake to a new day, most of us think of the same old things. It’s a new day, so think of new things. New things to do, new ways to do them, new ways to make things interesting, new things to make life better, new ways to help your dreams come true. If you wake up every new day thinking of the same old things, then you set yourself up for the same old fall. – unknown

Why live life based on past events when you can make a whole new story . Never stop trying just because times get tough. Life goes on no matter what. So turn your wounds into wisdom, be successful and have the courage to live because anyone can die.
