I became strong when you set me free and I became even stronger when I let you go. -Joe Marcial
Everything Is Only Just Inside Your Head
Use Any Crisis To Let Go Of Unseen Self-Limitation
Do you ever wonder why things have to unfold as they do? And why it’s only those unwanted or otherwise painful moments that cause us to really question our life? Could it be that the only time we’re capable of honestly examining our own heart is in the midst of some period of personal trial? Yet, what exactly is it about challenging moments that lead us to this kind of self-examination, and that finally introduces us to the grand possibilities awaiting us there?
Unwanted moments in our lives act upon us, as nothing else can, to reveal certain unconscious attachments that roam within us — those invisible fibers that weave themselves through the heart, and from which all forms of painful dependency dangle like dark puppets. These attachments remain unseen until revealed by some unwanted circumstance that “pulls” on them, instantly producing the stress and sorrow that it does.
In other words…unwanted moments are really the only way to discover the truth about our present unseen limitations, as this kind of inner captivity remains concealed until something takes place to reveal it. And yet, it’s in these very same moments — when life seems to hit hardest — that exists our greatest opportunity to be free.
So the question before us in unwanted moments — the real question — is what do we love most of all?
Simply put, do we embrace this light of new self-awareness that reveals the unseen prison in which we’ve unknowingly agreed to live? Or, do we reject the dawning of this higher consciousness, and continue to submit ourselves to the suffering inherent in willing self-ignorance?
Do we want to tear down these invisible walls that stand between us, and the unfettered wholeness, that holiness for which we long? Or, do we want to decorate them with more of the same pretty lies about some tomorrow when our freedom will finally arrive?
Don’t be deceived: a choice must be made as to what you love most of all; even if you don’t feel any love in that moment, still…you must choose. Otherwise, as you’ve already seen, a choice is made for you and then, too late, you lose what you will never know you had a chance to be: free.
