What We Collect
Information you give us
The only personal information we collect directly is what you choose to send us. That includes:
- Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, and the message you write. We use this only to reply.
- Newsletter signups. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server keeps standard access logs. These include:
- Your IP address (used for security, abuse prevention, and to tell roughly where in the world traffic is coming from)
- Your browser type and version
- The page you came from (referrer)
- The pages you visit on this site
- The date and time of your visit
Information stored in your browser
When you use the "Save" feature to bookmark a quote, or when the site tracks your daily visit streak, that data is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device. We have no access to it. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser data.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the site
- Respond to messages you send us
- Send the newsletter you signed up for
- Understand how visitors use the site (in aggregate)
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
A cookie is a small file stored in your browser. The Site uses cookies in three categories:
- Essential. Required for the Site to work, including remembering whether you have dismissed a banner and storing your saved-quote list in browser local storage.
- Analytics. The Site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-81XMCY5KM9) to count visits and understand which pages are popular. Data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. Google's analytics privacy details are available at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Advertising. The Site uses Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-4868281265926059) to serve ads. AdSense and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to choose ads, measure ad performance, and detect ad fraud. See the AdSense section below for full details.
You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may make parts of the Site work less well. Most browsers offer an "incognito" or "private" mode that limits cookie use. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland will be shown a consent banner that lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies before any are set.
Google AdSense and Advertising
This site is supported by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Show you ads based on your visits to this and other websites
- Measure ad performance and frequency
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the ads
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through these tools:
- Google Ads Settings
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out
- Your Online Choices (EU)
For full details on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's partner site policy.
Third-Party Services We Use
- Google AdSense. Serves the ads on this site. Privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. Loads the typefaces used on the site. Privacy FAQ.
- Our hosting provider. Stores the website files and serves them to your browser.
These services have their own privacy policies. We do not control what they collect or how they use it.
When We Share Information
We share personal information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run the site (hosting, email delivery, analytics, advertising).
- Legal reasons. If required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers. If the site is ever sold, merged, or otherwise transferred, information about users may be part of that transfer. We would notify users of any such change.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing.
How Long We Keep Your Information
- Contact form messages. Kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry, usually less than 12 months.
- Newsletter email addresses. Kept until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs. Typically rotated and deleted within 90 days.
- Browser local storage. Stays in your browser until you clear it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. The site uses HTTPS to encrypt data in transit. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International Data Transfers
The site is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States. The data protection laws in the US may be different from those in your country.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

To opt out, use the tools listed in the advertising section above, or send us a request through the contact page.
Other US State Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, or another US state with comprehensive privacy laws, you have rights similar to those described above. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to these signals, our site does not currently respond to them. You can manage your privacy through the cookie and ad opt-out tools described above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If the change is material, we will provide additional notice (for example, a banner on the homepage). Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise any of your privacy rights, please use the contact page. We aim to respond within 30 days.
