I can't help wondering why this is attributed to ol' blue eyes? The first two voices that pop into my mind singing it are Nat King Cole and Fred Astaire. I'm not even sure Frank's is the most popular recorded version. There certainly are a number of them, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald ... Fred Astaire recorded it first. Fred and Ginger Rogers introduced it to the world in a wonderful movie musical, "Swing Time". Most importantly, it's Jerome Kern's music and Dorothy Fields' lyrics. With it's rich history it seems a little sad to give Frank the nod, all he did was record it almost 30 years after it was already a hit!
