The High Fructose Corn Syrup Controversy

All this news about high fructose corn syrup is driving me crazy! Everyone is asking me whether it’s safe or not because some commercial sponspored by the Corn Refiners Association says it is in moderation. Can you handle the truth? The truth is… HFCS is a toxic to our bodies!

You heard that right! HFCS converts to fat more than any other sugar… This may be one of the reasons Americans continue to get fatter. HFCS also inhibits the metabolism of important nutrients by our body, which leads to a deficiency in minerals resulting in bone fragility, anemia, defects of the connective tissue, arteries, and bone, infertility, heart arrhythmias, high cholesterol levels, heart attacks, and an inability to control blood sugar levels, i.e. diabetes.

Let me REPEAT myself: the consumption of HFCS leads to mineral loss!!! You end up excreting trace minerals, zinc, iron and magnesium in your fecal and urine. An imbalance or mineral defficiency leads to all kinds of problems, including: depression, anxiety, low sex drive, hypothyroidism, heart failure, heart disease, fibromyalgia, skin problems and the list goes on…

Did you know that there’s also MERCURY in high fructose corn syrup??? In making this poisonous sweetener, Caustic soda is used to separate starch from the corn kernel. The problem is that they use mercury-grade caustic soda! That’s right there’s actually mercury in HFCS! You can find HFCS in just about everything. Just check the label, it’s normally the 2nd or 3rd ingredient in the list meaning that it’s concentrated in the product.

Hope I was able to shed some light on this topic… If you’re interested in learning more about the dangers of HFCS, please click the link below.

Cheers!
